preseason sessions
The training groups listed below run twice a week for four weeks (July 20 through August 13). They are scheduled for the period after baseball season and before most youth teams begin fall football practices. They offer 8 power hours of training-- short lines, high tempo, lots of reps.
All sessions will occur at Northwest Junior High in Coralville. The cost is $120. Each group is capped at 16 participants.
These are premium training opportunities for player's to get a jump start on their season and their competition with experienced, technical coaching. Coach Blum has nearly two decades and thousands of hours in developing youth players with age-appropriate drills and coaching cues.
Within sessions, players are matched with age/size/ability-appropriate partners & sub-groups. Training aids such as padding, shells, and others may be used to develop confidence and maintain safety;

rookie camp
Mon + Wed • 5:30-6:30 pm • Ages 5-7
Sessions for football beginners. They are designed to teach basic football skills such as throwing, catching, evasive running, chasing, and defending. Participants will also develop awareness while learning the sport's basic rules and procedures through recess-like games.

playmaker I
Tue + Thur • 5:30-6:30pm • Ages 7-9
Skill-building sessions for developing athletes ready for more than the basics. Participants will sharpen their skills advancing and defending the ball through fast-paced, game-like drills. Emphasis is placed on evasive running, ball skills, route awareness, vision, and defensive discipline while continuing to build confidence and coordination.

tumble rumble
Mon + Wed • 6:30-7:30 pm • Ages 7-9
Tumble Rumble sessions are designed for participants to acclimate to more competitive elements of the sport. Drills will require them to race, chase, push, pull, strain, drive, and contest. This training is delivered through fun and engaging activities- some of them skill-based and some more physical.

playmaker ii
Tue + Thur • 6:30-7:30pm • Ages 10-13
Advanced development sessions for more experienced players looking to elevate their playmaking ability. Participants will refine position-specific skills across offense and defense while encountering more nuanced strategic elements of the game. Sessions are competitive, detail-oriented, and designed to translate directly to game performance.

TACKLE TRAINING
Mon + Wed • 7:30-8:30 pm • Ages 10-13
Track, coil, connect, and finish. There are several elements to safe and effective tackling; deficiency with any of them can bring inconsistency or injury. Acclimate to delivering impact and winning the fight to finish here.
