CORE TEAM $650
Includes participation in all seven base events.
Roster capped at 12 players
>75% practice attendance rate expected.
FLEX TEAM $425
Includes participation in four events; choose any three + State tournament automatically included.
Roster of 16-18 players
>50% practice attendance rate expected.
Notes:
• All players must complete age verification with MidAmerica 7v7, a $15 annual fee.
• Enrollment fees do not include a uniform kit. See more on uniform options below.
• Enrollment payments can be made in 2 installments before practices begin. Venmo & check/cash preferred

All players on the Core Team are required to have their own official team top & shorts. Ones used in previous seasons are ok. Players on the flex team may purchase their own items or can opt to burrow from the club for events. Soft shell helmets will be issued for competitions at no extra cost.
Other player and fan items will be available at a later date. Uniform size reporting and orders will take place in mid February.

All practices likely to occur at NW Junior High in Coralville.
All practices will begin at 5:30pm or later.
Practice times will be confirmed by March 1.
Team orientations to be held the week of March 23 with outdoor practices to begin March 30.

Age Groups & Team Makeup
10u • 12u • 14u
Players qualify for the age group that corresponds with their age on January 1, 2026.
The club is based in the Iowa City area, our club is open to participants from any school/community. We prioritize player development and team building.
How Are Teams Split?
We'll have up to 2 teams in an age group. In these instances, we will look to split the teams based on the following:
Core Team: For more experienced players that prioritize 7v7 season and expect to attend all events. 75% or greater practice attendance expected. Smaller roster (12). Primarily led by RedZone Staff.
Flex Team: For developmental players and/or those balancing multiple activities. ~50% practice & event attendance expected. Larger rosters (16-20). Parent-led coaching.
Historical Notes
RedZone launched the RaZors 7v7 football club in 2021. In that time, teams from the club have participated in 5-7 tournaments annually while fielding 40-60 members in the 8-15 year old age range. The club's on field achievements are highlighted with two D2 state championships in 2023 by our 10u & 12u teams, along with a handful of other tournament championship performances throughout the years. Aside from the on field results, the club is proud to promote inclusivity and team building that results in a high player retention rate and sportsmanship expectations for all players, coaches, and parents.
Administration & Coaching
The RaZors club offers top layer of objective, non-parent leadership that is invested in the development and experience of every player. These leaders are adept at implementing our systems for our players and other coaches; they have strong influence with decisions based on playing time, key positions, and other strategic considerations. We also rely on parent coaching as well to help with practice efficiency and to cover multiple teams playing at the same time. These parents are semi-volunteers and are expected to be present at a majority of team events. Preference is given to those previously involved with the program and/or other 7v7 and football coaching.
